Word: Poverty
Meaning: The state of being poor
Example: Poverty alleviation in the poorest countries


Word: Destitution
Meaning: A state without money friends or money prospect
Example: The question is how to eliminate such dreadful destitution


Word: Inability
Meaning: Lack of the ability to do something
Example: Inability of patients to tolerate the therapy


Word: Incapable
Meaning: Not having strength to perfom something
Example: A teacher has to be permenantly incapable of teaching to quality for ill health benefits.


Word: Starvation
Meaning: The act of depriving of food or subjecting to famine
Example: The cause of the failure was discovered to be fuel starvation.


Word: Deprivation
Meaning: A state of extreme poverty
Example: The aim is to tackle deprivation in the most deprived areas.


Word: Dearth
Meaning: A lack or small supply of something
Example: Many cities have a dearth of affordable rented accommodation.


Word: Thwart
Meaning: A crosspiece spreading the gunnels of boat
Example: Thwarted by heavy rain which washed the evidence away.


Word: Famine
Meaning: A general shortage of food
Example: Those who survived the famine many were forced to emigrate to greener pastures.


Word: Drought
Meaning: Drought is a long period of time when there is no rain
Example: Drought minima in almost all regions.
